Brenda joined the team in 2022 as our HR Administrator and most recently started her new role as Training and Development Executive. Brenda plans, coordinates, and delivers training programmes across the company. Prior to joining the team, she worked for over ten years in the HR department of the national broadcaster RTÉ. She holds a MA in Leadership in Workplace Health and Wellbeing from TUS and a Master of Business Studies in Human Resources Management.
Brenda loves spending time with her son, going to the movies and on walks; she hopes to pass on her passion for travel to him.
Carmel joined the team in 2020 as our Communications Manager. Prior to this she worked in the public relations industry after obtaining her MSc in Public Relations and Strategic Communication. Her interests include languages and travelling.
Amy joined us in June 2017 and quickly became an integral part of the Administrative team, working on site in a number of key locations. Prior to this Amy spent 10 years working within the retail industry and gained her BA in Retail Management while working full time and studying part time in Letterkenny IT.
In her spare time Amy enjoys spending time horse-riding.
As Human Resource Manager, Davina is responsible for the recruitment and selection of personnel. Prior to this, Davina spent a most enjoyable 24 years in the Irish Defence Forces where she was afforded the opportunity to gain a professional grounding in Leadership and Human Resource Management contributing to the organisations Strategic Planning Objectives. She has also had the opportunity to train and serve with many International Forces on Multinational Teams in Ireland, Lebanon and Kosovo.
Davina holds a B Comm in Human Resource Management from NUI Galway and has completed military, strategic leadership courses and career courses in the Irish Defence Forces.
Davina has lived abroad for many years and enjoys travelling and meeting people from different cultures.
Laura joined the team in Head Office in 2017 as our Administrative Executive. She has over 10 years’ experience working in Administration roles over a variety of industries. She is also a qualified IPASS Payroll Technician and has a Higher Cert in Business Studies. When she’s not in work, Laura enjoys walking, cooking and a bit of acting.
Anthea is responsible for recruitment and has over 10 years experience in HR including resourcing, performance management, talent and succession planning, employee relations and people development. She has a BComm from NUI Galway and an Diploma in International Hotel Management. Her background is in hospitality where she worked for global brand Starwood Hotels both operationally and in support functions.
She is an experienced coach and trainer. Other industries include financial services and pharmaceuticals. Anthea is passionate about food and loves to cook.
As Director of Operations Carmel provides day-to-day support to managers and teams on site and is dedicated to understanding our client’s needs and facilitating the delivery of the highest standards of the quality programme within Provincial. Twenty-four years’ service as an Officer in the Irish Defence Forces has provided Carmel with the opportunity to manage and lead at all levels in a dynamic, operationally focused environment.
As a former Training and Logistics Officer in the Defence Forces Training Centre, Carmel was accustomed to leading and facilitating high level decision making and throughout her military career, and was further responsible for contributing to the delivery of key components of the ‘Defence Forces Mission’ including; human resource management, safety management and compliance, standards regulation, risk analysis and maintenance management together with fiscal and budgetary responsibilities.
She has also served on multi-national teams for extended periods overseas in Lebanon, the former Yugoslavia and Kosovo in both training and operational roles
From a broader education and training perspective, Carmel has completed number of Defence Forces Officer career courses and is a graduate of NUI Galway with an honours BA degree (Economics, Sociology and Politics).
Carmel loves her style and has put this into practice by completing a FETAC level 5 Make-up Artistry programme.
Bernadette is Administration Director and has worked with Provincial since 1977 after briefly working in the Netherlands. She is the Oracle of the company; knowing everyone and our sites. She oversees the general administration of the head office and is also responsible for payroll and any employee queries.
Bernadette is in her element surrounded by her family and is looking forward to some significant family celebrations this year.
Stephen joined Provincial Security in 1995 as an administration officer. In 1998 he was appointed Director of Personnel then latterly joined the board as HR Director. He is involved in all aspects of recruitment, training and rostering of security officers along with the general day-to-day management of local and sites issues.
A Qualified Solicitor - and Film School Graduate - Robert has been with Provincial for 23 years. He was appointed Managing Director in 2007, but not before learning at every level of the business. Having attended CWC and UCD, Robert worked as a lawyer for leading firms in Kildare and Dublin before joining Provincial on the cusp of the Millennium. A rather unfavourable criticism of a student movie (by Martin Scorsese, no less) convinced him that the Security Industry was a better career path for him.
