Provincial employees set to take part in National Rescue Competition

On June 25th, two of our team members will participate in the Rescue Organisation Ireland National Rescue challenge at Newcastle Aerodrome, Co. Wicklow.

After two years of restrictions, the event brings together emergency rescue personnel from all over the country to demonstrate their skills in realistic rescue scenarios, all within a quality-controlled environment.

Daniel Ryan and Anthony Philips joined Provincial as Security Officers and during their time with us they have worked hard to earn their qualifications as Emergency Medical Technicians. They will represent their site in the trauma category of the competition facing members of the frontline and voluntary emergency services, An Garda Siochana and Medical Team and Rescue Services from Airports across the country. Over the past eight weeks, they have spent time practising for the competition, ensuring they have covered every aspect of trauma rescue.

Daniel and Anthony will face a number of scenarios in which their trauma skills and training will be tested. If successful, they will represent Ireland in Luxembourg's World Rescue Organisation competition.

We wish them the very best of luck!
